Director Zack Snyder has chosen the actress who will play Lois Lane in his upcoming reboot of Superman—and she’s a three-time Oscar nominee.
According to Hero Complex, 36-year-old Amy Adams (most recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress in The Fighter) has landed the role of the feisty Daily Planet reporter and love of Superman’s life after weeks of speculation over who would win the part. Snyder called Adams from Paris, where he is promoting his newly-released Sucker Punch, to give her the news.
Snyder said, “There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”
