Numbers are in: Doctor Who premiere most recorded U.K. show ever!

The Impossible Astronaut  Sets UK RecordsDoctor Who’s still got it! Whoever doubted him and his appeal can eat crow. When the series returned to television last month, several papers and tabloids made noise about its comparatively low ratings in the U.K. Well, guess what? People didn’t tune out, they just tuned in … differently.

The DVR strikes again. Instead of watching this season’s first episode of Doctor Who, titled “The Impossible Astronaut,” live, people recorded it and played it back later. The folks over at Kantar Media Audiences (they do ratings analysis) have announced that the episode was the most recorded show in U.K. TV history!
