After scaring fans the world over as a best-selling novel, a TV miniseries and most recently a Marvel comic, Stephen King’s epic tale of mankind’s ultimate battle between good and evil is finally going to be a movie.
Warner Brothers and CBS Films are joining forces to adapt King’s novel, and the two have yet to decide on a writer or director for the project. They also haven’t decided whether to break King’s massive tome—first published in 1978, then revised by King in 1990—into more that one film, which would make sense, both dramatically and financially.
