“Now and Then”
We’re at a moment in history — the release ofĀ “Now and Then”, the very last new recording by the greatest rock band in history,Ā The Beatles. We’re joined byĀ Ira Elliot, the drummer ofĀ Nada SurfĀ and the Beatles tribute bandĀ Bambi Kino, to analyze this old/new track and the “long and winding road” it took to see fruition. We talk about the song itself, the music video, the making-of documentary, the technology that made this recording possible, the new editions of theĀ RedĀ andĀ BlueĀ compilations, and the emotional impact of hearing John’s voice on a new record.Ā
