Richard Evans
Richard Evans‘ book Listening to the Music the Machines Make: Inventing Electronic Pop 1978-1983 has been out for nearly two years and has just been released in paperback here in the States! We took that opportunity to have Mr. Evans back for a second interview in which we talk about the success of the book, the journey of promoting it, Richard’s picks of the 10 essential artists / albums / tracks that one needs to hear to understand the electronic pop genre, and a very surprising chat about Aphantasia, plus a whole lot more! Along the way, we talk about groundbreaking bands like Duran Duran, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, New Order and more!
