Check out the first manic glimpse of the good Doctor and River Song dodging the Silence, Cybermen, Silurians and Daleks in this time-twisting teaser for Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock.
Developed as a totally new Who adventure, the Guildford-based designers at Supermassive Games worked directly with the show’s production team in Cardiff. The crazy trailer amps up the action and gives a decent feel for the game’s plot-based gameplay.
Based on the show that wears its endearing campiness like a bright badge of honor, this 2-D platformer has a bold, playful attitude that cranks up the retro demolition factor, with River wielding some potent weapons and catapulting herself across Londontown’s skyline with the intrepid Doctor. Fun stuff!
According to the synopsis, gamers must learn to master the complexities of time travel with exceptional temporal-based gameplay. Changes made in one time will impact another, creating multiple possibilities and challenging players to solve logic puzzles across vast centuries.
And occasionally blowin’ things up.
Check it out and get swept away in the urgent sci-fi silliness …

There’s no love for X-Box 360 apparently, with the game available only for the PS3, PS Vita portable and PC platforms.
Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock alarms the world in March 2012.
