Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 and Hugo tied for the most film nominations, while American Horror Story came in just behind Breaking Bad when the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films announced the nominations for its 38th Annual Saturn Awards.
Martin Scorcese’s Hugo and David Yates’ climactic Harry Potter installment each nabbed 10 nominations, leading a pack which includes Super 8 (eight nominations), Captain America: The First Avenger (seven); and The Adventures of Tintin and Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol (six each).
In TV categories, AMC’s Breaking Bad scored six nominations, followed by American Horror Story with five, and Fringe, Dexter, Leverage, Game of Thrones, The Killing and Torchwood: Miracle Day all getting four.
The Academy was founded in 1972 to honor and recognize genre entertainment. The awards ceremony will take place in June in Burbank, Calif.
