Halo 4 will reportedly be on show at this month’s Xbox Spring Showcase event.
The upcoming Halo release, which sees the return of Master Chief, will be on display at Microsoft’s San Francisco event on February 29, reports Finnish magazine Pelaaja (via NeoGAF).
Currently being developed by 343 Industries, Halo 4 was unveiled at last summer’s E3 event in Los Angeles. However, little has been heard about the title since, and no gameplay footage has been made public.
The game will kick off a new Xbox 360 trilogy, following on from the events of Halo 3.
Last August, the developers revealed more details about the upcoming shooter, saying that it will explore Master Chief’s character and personality in greater depth, and will focus on his relationship with Cortana.
It will also retain the series’ sandbox gameplay, but will feel “fresh and different” thanks to a variety of new weapons, abilities and experiences.
Microsoft will release Halo 4 exclusively on Xbox 360 in late 2012.
