Hello, ESO friends! It’s officially time for Dragon Con! I’m super excited to be attending my first-ever Dragon Con this year, and also doing some media coverage for ESO.
Over the next several days, about 85,000 people will be in downtown Atlanta for the con, which is actually bigger than the entire population of the city where I’m from! The cons I have attended previously have also been in one main facility, so I was impressed to find that Dragon Con actually stretches across multiple buildings. There’s definitely going to be plenty to see and do here!
My first day I spent the afternoon getting acquainted with the con set-up. I took one of the Dragon Con newbie tours (shout-out to Kevin of the ESO Network’s Flopcast for being a great tour guide!). If you’re thinking about attending Dragon Con sometime in the future, I’d highly recommend this tour as a great way to get to know where everything is.
And while you definitely won’t get bored at Dragon Con, there’s plenty to do in the surrounding area if you need a little break. I took a tour at the CNN Studios this morning, and in a previous visit to Atlanta, I visited the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola. There’s lots to see and do in downtown Atlanta (and plenty of great places to eat, as well!).
I’ll be posting from Dragon Con each day, and also doing some updates on Twitter at https://twitter.com/jediash1. I hope to meet some of you this week, and I hope it’s a great con!
