The BBC has released the first official promo pics from the upcoming fourth season of the hit sci-fi/supernatural series Being Human, slated to return later this month in the U.K. In addition to letting us see some familiar faces, we also get the first look at an exciting new character.
If you’ve seen season three—especially the very dramatic ending—then you know that changes are coming for the series. Namely, there’s a new vampire in town who will sweep in to fill the huge void left by Mitchell (Aidan Turner).
The new vampire—whose name is Hal—is played by relative newcomer Damien Molony, who said: “I’m actually playing an English vampire! Very, very posh. Very upper class. A stiff-upper-lipped Brit, which is a bit of a push for me accent, but it makes it a lot more fun. I promise you, no! No, no, no—Hal’s not Mitchell 2. There’s a lot of backstory to play with, and I assure you he’s very, very different.”
Season four also sees the return of the young werewolf Tom, played by Michael Socha, who is also probably meant to fill the shoes of actor Russell Tovey, who announced his departure from the series a few months back.
Back again as ghost Annie is the luminous Lenora Chrichlow.
There’s one character that’s been mysteriously left out of the new official pics, and that’s George’s girlfriend Nina, played by Sinead Keenan. We wonder if it’s meant to mean anything … What do you think?
