Orson Scott Card’s military-sci-fi classic has been orbiting in Hollywood for what feels like eons, never coming in for a landing. But there’s a new team behind the wheel, led by Star Trek’s writer-producers: Can they succeed where so many others have failed?
This new team consists of X-Men Origins: Wolverine director Gavin Hood, who wrote the screenplay and is attached to direct, and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who’ll produce. This is the package that just went out to just about every studio in town, looking to snare a home base.
