On this episode of the Blurred Nerds:
Media mega companies and streamers:
We catch up on all the media company merger & shuffling news such as Amazon eyeing MGM. WarnerMedia & Discovery might also combine forces. What will this mean for HBO Max in a year from now? Speaking of HBO Max, we finally have details on their new ad supported version as well as a timeframe for debut.
CBS is moving a few of their broadcast to streaming exclusives on Paramount +. SEAL Team, Clarice and Evil are heading over to join Star Trek on the app. Could we see more shows making the jump?
In the second half of the show,
We discuss that wild mid season finale of The Nevers. Spoilers ahead!! Does Claudia Black make everything instantly better? For a few minutes at the beginning, both of us forgot what show were watching. And while some questions were answered we were left with so many new ones. We have a hitchhiker in our midst, are the friend or foe and how long until we find out? Hopefully, the second half of season one arrives sooner rather than later.
Jupiter’s Legacy on Netflix…worth the watch or not? Two nerds try to answer that very question with varying results. Should the show have focused on the past or present? Instead of jumping back and forth, maybe there should have been dedicated seasons for each? Also, WHAT is up with Josh’s beard? Mark Millar’s story is intriguing but is this show doing enough to keep the audience invested?
All that and much more!
