Completing the trifecta of the “Escape From Vault Disney” Yule Loggers, we have preeminent lesbian mad scientist Agatha Vile, the great granddaughter of Dr. Vile, the villain from “The Little Mermaid” Animated Series Season 3 Episode 3 “Island Of Fear”. While ‘lesbian’ is not part of her job title, it does tie into the fact that the animation related topic she wished to discuss on today’s episode is gay-coding in animated films of the past. This leads into a conversation about LGBTQIA+ representation in animated TV series, starting with a scant few in the 90’s and 2000s, leading up to the 2010s & beyond where lots of shows ramped up the fight for inclusion, like Steven Universe, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, The Owl House, Arcane, Nimona, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, and a ton of other shows that have the animation fans generating a quadrillion pieces of shipping fan art a day.
