Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was not the movie I expected it to be. For one, it is much darker and somber in tone than the other two volumes in James Gunn’s trilogy. Sure, there are some laughs and humorous moments sprinkled throughout, but this film also has elements
Ask Star Wars fans what we love most about the franchise, and you’ll hear common topics like the Jedi, lightsabers, the Force, bounty hunters, spaceships, the epic John Williams scores, and so on. And if you ask about our favorite characters, names like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and
In 2021, I chose the first season of Netflix’s fantasy series Shadow and Bone as one of my favorite geek stories of the year. Based on the books by Leigh Bardugo and inspired by Russian culture and mythology, Shadow and Bone was packed full of intriguing, well-cast characters; elaborate costumes;
This week, I was already planning to write a post about Star Wars, reflecting on my thoughts on this season of The Mandalorian and where I thought the show was heading in the future. However, thanks to all the surprising news that came out of the recent Star Wars Celebration

Weirdly enough, hearing the mixed response to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania made me even more curious to see the film. How would I feel about this somewhat polarizing movie? Would I love it? Hate it? End up falling somewhere in between? I always respect when a franchise film is
This is definitely a case of “better late than never,” but nine months after it dropped on Netflix, I’m finally getting around to watching the fourth season of Stranger Things. Miraculously, I’ve managed to avoid most spoilers, although I know everyone was obsessed with Kate Bush’s “Running Up that Hill”
