Black Widow is finally hitting theatres on July 9, 2021. If this comes to pass, the delay will have been 14 months from its orginal release date.
Shazam! The Shazam sequel has cast Helen Mirren as the villain Hespara. As a tie in to the Shazam universe, Black Adam has cast Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate.
The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. This is a massive, epic book series. Amazon Video is adapting the books into a new series. 6 episodes are completed with 2 more to shoot. We may see the show this year. Speaking of books, we also talk about author Brian Keene, as well as the Dragon Lance series of books. All this medieval talk leads us into a short discussion about Dungeons and Dragons.
Sesame Street just introduced us to 2 new muppets. And they’re a Black father and son duo. This will help the show teach kids about racial relations.
Scott Pilgram vs the World will be released in theatres again as part of its 10 year anniversary. This is a one-week only USA event.
The Creature from the Black Lagoon may be finally getting an update or a remake. We have been hearing about this for over 30 years, but this time it might actually happen.
The Star Trek Voyager documentary is well on its way. It’s nearing the one million dollar mark. There is still time to donate to the funding campaign.
Keanu Reeves has written a comic book series called BRSRKR. Netflix has acquired the rights. We will be seeing a live action movie followed by an anime series. Keanu will be starring in everything.
The Last Starfighter is one of our favourite films from childhood. They have tried to get a sequel going for years. A sizzle reel full of concept art has been released. It appears the film could finally actually be happening!
