Back to the Future could be heading to Broadway.
The 1985 film, which featured Michael J Fox as a teenager sent back in time, could be adapted for the stage, according to Deadline.
Writer and director Robert Zemeckis is currently in negotiations to pen a stage version of the classic film. The 60-year-old would be joined by his writing partner Bob Gale and the movie’s composer Alan Silvestri.
Last year, Nike unveiled trainers modeled after those seen in Back to the Future Part II. The shoes, which were found in the film by Fox’s character in 2015, could lace themselves up automatically.
Christopher Lloyd reprised his role as Doc Brown for a Back to the Future-inspired Argentinean commercial last August.
Back to the Future and its two sequels earned over $1 billion worldwide.
